I am proud to announce the first release of Midi_IO
Midi_IO is an innovative and easy to use Quest3D™ plug-in bringing a powerful set of channels to allow the control (IN/OUT) of your Quest3D™ projects via the Midi protocol.
|
Here are some of the features:
- 14 Channels, the majority of which have been designed to handle what is more commonly known as Midi Channel Messages (IN and/or OUT).
- It is extremely easy to use and can be learnt in minutes as each Midi message type (Note ON/OFF, Pitchbend, Program Change etc..) have their own dedicated Quest3D™ channel.
- All receiving Midi_IO channels are of type "Value"
- Underlying power and accuracy is achieved by a specific set of algorithms especially chosen for their efficiency, reliability and stability.
Each instance of any of the Midi_IO channels can be set to communicate via any available device individually.
- When applicable, to ease handling of more complex message types, specific features have been implemented to help the user choose the correct Midi Message value without having to be a Midi expert.
- To ease the process of changing/updating values increment/decrement values in Property Dialogs, Edit fields have been given a Spin button.
- Compatible with most Midi Devices - real or virtual - as long as the correct drivers are installed.
- Etc....
To ensure that it is accessible to everyone, pricing has been based on 2 license types:
- The Indie license is for individuals (or sole traders) only with yearly revenues below GBP100K and is priced at GBP89.00 (~EUR128.00*)
- The Company license is for individuals (with revenues equal or higher than the threshold above) or business entities or corporates and is priced at GBP179.00 (~EUR 257.00*) per seat. Quantity discounts available on request.
The Midi_IO boasts identical features under both licences and does not have any Royalties or hidden fees.
The latest version is now available from the download page and comes with a 30 days trial period. Licenses can be purchased from www.aticka.com
2 samples, the "Infinite Drum" and the "Dynamic Octave", illustrating (with semi advanced techniques, such as Dynamic Loading, Ray/box collision, For loops and Array) the Midi_IN/OUT Note channel s can be downloaded here
Once more, I would like to thank the entire tester team for their continuous feedback, help and support.
